Waste of $1.99. Crashes all the time

I put my iPad in my room for 3 day with this on. The test I did worked. it could work good but it failed me. it hit the max thresh hold of recording. I sat there for 20 mins clicking ok hoping to even just get a few recording but once it hit the limit it dump all of them. No autosave the set up was pointless. Good thing I set my computer to record too. Almost mess my one chance to catch gf to trust her or not. Now I have break up with my gf and this app didnt help me at all. If fixed with up date I would give 5 stars. Good app maby for a few hours not days...

So far so good. I like that the actual recording also have a current recording time to when it had been recorded. Although u should keep it charged so ur phone run out of battery. And keep it out of sight so no one will see it and take ur phone. I highly suggest u take my advise.

Its a JUNK and waste of time and money

I have sent 4 emails of the last 2 weeks and no response at all. I agree with above. The file does me no good if I cant download it.

The app works okay and Ive been able to listen to my files however after you record your file and you walk to listen to it, the app shuts down and takes me to my home screen. Private Ear wont let me finish listening to my files until i reboot my iPhone. Recommend the developers take a look at this!

I works for me though I need to test it some more. I just purchase it today and test it for a short while and I like it. Speed of apps could be better.

It works well on my phone. Only small prob is that it sometimes has a file that is 0kb taking up space. Other than that, its great! Maybe a version of this using the video function the 3GS already has & the 3G just started having (unlocked & unjailbroken) would be even better.

This has become a new hobby of mine. I set it to record while Im sleeping so that when I talk in my sleep, I can hear what Im saying the next morning. Sure, a lot of it is snoring, but I caught myself saying "hm, what the hell? Ky goddamn sell" or something like that. And then I caught me talking some gibberish that sounds like some weird African or Indian dialect. Fun stuff! My only complaint is not being able to export to my computer. My rating will by 5 stars when this is fixed.

It does what I want (just bought the app) but it NEEDS better quality recording. Please make it record better quality sound. I will give more stars if updated.

It wont let me resume from where I left off listening if I have to go to home screen. Records okay but the forward and back does not work.

I find it to work very well but it would be nice if there was a way to keep it recording in the background so if the phone is discovered and somebody hits the home button it wont be evident that its recording.

For 1.99 the app should not require a restart every time one uses it.......

Just use the built in recorder. This isnt secretive at all

Terrible design and broken functionality. Looks like it hasnt been updated since 2008 (maybe even 1998). Truly awful...

Only works about 10% of the time. Its a waste of money.

This app is terrible

When it works its an OK app, but it was buggy to begin with, and with each new iOS upgrade gets progressively worse. Im on iOS 5.1 and can get Private Ear to work about 30% of the time now. Restarting the phone used to be a sure fix, but even that doesnt always work now. There doesnt seem to be much activity by the developer to keep the app functional. I would recommend not purchasing this app until the developer gets it to where it again reliably performs its basic functions. Edit: No improvement in iOS 6.

The idea is good but needs to fix a serious flaw before I would recommend this to anyone. If someone talks then stops talking that is considered an interruption. If you get too many interruptions the program posts the error and will not clear and you cant use the program again. Also the lock out function doesnt work. The interface is nice and simple which is why I bumped the rating up to 2 stars. I would wait for the next revision before buying.

How do you delete recordings? Nice app otherwise.
